About the Opportunity As a Sentence Administration Officer, you will be performing administration and recording management functions and services that pertain to the detention and release of inmates. An integral part of your role will include determining the validity and intent of a vast range of legal orders relating to the detention of inmates and ensure all information is recorded, analyse courts' orders and refer them to the appropriate unit and ensure orders of the court are carried out appropriately. Sentence Administration Officers will identify inmates who are eligible for release and ensure arrangements are put into place as well as liaising with courts and external government agencies to provide information about inmates detained in custody. Certificate III in Business Administration or relevant experience Experience in providing administrative support in a senior administrator role Experience in accurate data entry and data management Experience working in a high-pressure environment with simultaneous deadlines Experience within a Sentence administration team (desirable) Demonstrate a competent level of computer literacy and report writing Proficient interpersonal and communications skills Maintains high level of integrity and ethical behaviour This is a position of trust and responsibility and to support this we will conduct a thorough probity assessment, which includes a national police check as an essential selection component for this role.
