In your new role, you will construct essential data systems to optimise data extraction, transformation, and loading from diverse data sources and SQL technologies. This includes gathering and validating information crucial to business needs. You will analyse and formulate actionable plans to meet service requests or enhance existing systems and processes, ensuring adherence to established security, quality controls, service management practices, and standards. The ideal candidate for this role should possess a good understanding of SaaS-based solutions, Azure Synapse or Data Bricks, Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Factory pipelines, Azure Purview and Azure Analysis Services. About you Degree qualified in business or technology. 5 year experience on supporting applications that are using MS SQL, Analysis Services, Integration Services and Reporting Services Experience working on Enterprise Data Lake systems like Azure Synapse, Bricks or similar platforms. Experience working on Power BI and Power BI report Builder. Experience on performing database administration tasks and using various tools and methodologies in fine tuning database performance on both on-prem and Azure SQL database servers. Experience in maintaining database-focussed environments in Microsoft Azure cloud. Good understanding of SaaS-based solutions, Azure Synapse or Data Bricks, Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Factory pipelines, Azure Purview, Azure Analysis Services Familiar with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow, JIRA, or Azure DevOps Familiar with Data Analysis tools such as Power Query, Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) and other similar data modelling tools. Proficient understanding of Git and code management tools such as Team Foundation Server and/or DevOps Experience on communicating with stakeholders in various levels. Familiar with IT service management practice as well as audit and compliance reporting in a financial context.
