An exciting opportunity is available to join the Casual Pool in the role of Registered Midwife. In this role your responsibilities will include: To ensure optimal outcomes for women and their families of the service through the promotion of best practice including the appropriate escalation of care To practice under the supervision of a Registered Nurse if required to work in general wards/units To work collaboratively utilising effective team communication with members of the multidisciplinary health team in the planning, implementation, assessment and evaluation of patient care To act as an advocate for the specific needs of all women and their families including those from the indigenous population or other multi-cultural groups providing appropriate care to the woman undergoing specialised procedures To maintain and promote a professional standard evidenced by ethical midwifery practice, adherence to the policies and procedures of the Nursing and Midwifery Service, NMBLHD and the appropriate legislation and statutory regulations To provide support to all staff and students To effectively manage resources relevant to the service If you have experience in Midwifery and would like to work casually at Nepean, apply now An eligibility list may be created for future vacancies.?   About us:   Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District (NBMLHD) is a wonderful place to expand your career and grow your skills and knowledge. New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate (IM011 immunisation medical exemption form) certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW.   Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate.
