The Social Worker Level 3 role involves a variety of duties relating to clinical duties, consultancy, education and health promotion and quality activities. The purpose of this position is to p rovide a high quality Social Work service including comprehensive assessments, community development and a range of therapeutic interventions for clients of Child and Family services.  An eligibility list may be created for future vacancies.    About us: Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District (NBMLHD) is a wonderful place to expand your career and grow your skills and knowledge. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.     Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified and must not exceed the duration or conditions associated with the current visa. Selection criteria to be addressed: Degree in Social Work and eligible for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers and Being female is a genuine occupational qualification for this position as described under Section 31 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 (NSW) Recent experience in the provision of clinical services to client groups of a complex nature requiring advanced practice skills, as well as counselling, group and family work, including the areas of domestic violence, post natal depression, child protection issues, low risk suicide and an understanding of normal development and the significant variability’s of childhood development Demonstrated ability to work autonomously with minimal direct supervision. Ability to plan, implement, evaluate and report on services, including identifying opportunities for improvement in clinical practice across psychosocial and multidisciplinary service delivery Experience in providing clinical supervision, consultation and demonstrated ability to apply professional knowledge and judgement when performing novel, complex or critical tasks Experience working with people who identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander, those who are culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) and/ or come from a range of socioeconomic backgrounds. High level of cultural competence Practise within a Primary Health Care framework, including building effective partnerships with other relevant government, non-government and community organisations Excellent written and oral communication skills, initiative, time management, and computer skills Current Driver's Licence and willingness to use for work purpose travel.
