Key accountabilities for the position: You will be responsible for managing one of the 3 zones and all packages of work required in that area which may involve civil, roads structures & bridges, temporary work’s, utilities, earthworks and rail. Provide supervision, mentoring, guidance and training to an engineering coordinator Establish and monitor design programs Review and monitor program and quality performance whilst working collaboratively with our design partners Actively work with project delivery teams to ensure smart engineering and staging concepts are well planned and executed Monitor cost planning to produce cost-efficient design output Monitor and report design costs Provide design output to allocated projects in a timely manner to ensure project objectives are met Ensure input to, and output from, design team is clear and complete Provide leadership in the procurement of selected design & construct prospects Required Skills and Competencies You will have a tertiary education in civil engineering, construction or something similar You will have considerable experience working in a similar position with delivery interface of construction teams whilst working for or managing design consultants Strong experience in planning and staging programs An ability to understand design, problem solve, learn, adapt and continually challenge yourself Well-developed communication skills and an ability to build and maintain relationships with a broad range of subcontractors, local authorities, internal staff and clients LI-LG1 ACCIONA has been given the Top Employer 2022 & 2023 certification in Australia, which certifies the company's commitment to excellence in human resources management and those who focus on putting their people first through their exceptional HR policies.
