CPB Contractors - Melbourne, VIC Construction, Architecture & Interior Design Source: uWorkin About North East Link The Spark Consortium has been selected for the Central Package of the North East Link Project - Victoria's biggest road project. The Spark Consortium’s Design and Construction Contractor - which comprises Webuild, CPB Contractors, GS Engineering and Construction and China Construction Oceania - will deliver the twin three-lane tunnels and key interchanges for the project. The Central Package will be delivered as a Public Private Partnership and provides three-lane twin tunnels that will close the missing link in Melbourne’s freeway network from the M80 Ring Road to an upgraded Eastern Freeway, reducing journey times and diverting heavy vehicles away from local roads. Up to 135,000 vehicles will use North East Link every day, reducing congestion in the north-east while maintaining local roads. About the Opportunity This role will primarily lead and manage the team, major consultants, subcontractors and suppliers to deliver the MEI and Control System Design, within budget and to establish quality outcomes per the Contract requirements of the Project. As an MEI Design Engineering Manager you will be accountable for: Supporting the MEI team to maintain highest level of health and safety and acting in accordance with Spark’s policies and procedures. Assist with client and stakeholder expectations and communicate effectively with the project team. Coordinate the MEI design delivery process, within the project life cycle to maximise the successful NELP outcomes. Coordinate and collaborate with the broader design team. Manage Design Interfaces with Adjacent Alliance Projects. About you: Bachelor’s degree.Minimum 10yrs experience as Project or Design Manager of major MEI scope delivery in a contracting environment (eg in excess of $50M). Major Infrastructure Project Experience preferred Excellent Communication skills. Effectively manage tasks, deadlines and individuals. Ability to interact with colleagues in a self-managed team structure. Must be able to multitask, problem solve, and implement innovative processes within a fast paced environment. Display attention to detail. Experienced in training, supporting and motivating operational staff.
