The Opportunity: Based from our North Sydney offices 3 days a week and one day at home, we are seeking an experienced Injury Management Advisor to join the team. Reporting to the Head of Wellbeing, Safety & Environment and part of the broader People and Culture team, you will be responsible for supporting the claims function and assisting injured workers through their rehabilitation process to their pre-accident level as well as being at the forefront of promoting early injury management and treatment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Ensure the activities associated with the successful injury management of work-related injuries (including early intervention strategies) are coordinated & implemented in a timely manner to optimise a recovery at work Consult with injured team members and managers to identify appropriate alternate duties and conduct regular reviews thereafter with relevant stakeholders. Provide advice to managers, supervisors, and health and safety partners regarding injury management practices, issues, and trends. Provide accurate information to the RTW and Authorised Insurer when required. Managing and supporting non-work-related injuries and illnesses. Travel to sites across you’re the region, as required. Minimum of 5 years' experience in injury management. Demonstrated experience in workplace-based rehabilitation. Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize in a dynamic and results-oriented environment. High-level organizational skills with expertise in effective work and process planning. Exceptional communication and influencing skills to negotiate and drive outcomes. The ability to influence practitioners in the workers' compensation industry. Excellent written and interpersonal skills, including effective communication with workers, managers, and medical providers. YOUR EXPERIENCE Strong claims management, workers' compensation, fitness for duties and return to work facilitation experience. Demonstrated ability to interpret, understand, and apply relevant workers' compensation legislation. Strong working knowledge and experience in a similar industry Demonstrated ability to interpret, understand, and apply relevant workers’ compensation legislation or similar experience. Proficiency in developing strategies to streamline claims management and premium reductions.
