Achieve Group Australia has a trainee Forklfit/Dockhand 2IC position in Cairns. This is an ongoing role and requires a minimum Australian car licence and Forklift ticket to be considered. While this position is for a forklift operator you will also be utilised as a dockhand and be trained in the day to day running of the business. You will be responsible for reporting to the depot manager and shadowing him and learning how to set out runs for the drivers, rosters, day to day emails/phone calls and reporting. You will eventually be covering this position when he is on sick leave and annual leave. For the right candidate a permanent position will be offered after your trial period has been completed. The dockhand position is very physical with the unloading of truck trailers early in the morning and placing those parcels/boxes/freight onto the sorting conveyor belt. You will need to be physically fit enough to lift, twist safely, bend, carry and be on your feet for the duration of your shift. Some heavier lifting is a requirement of this role. This role is a Monday - Friday position and pays $35p/hr penalties Super.
