Our people to take pride in their work, are safety focused and want to work alongside people with similar values. As a result, we are willing to offer ongoing training and support to like minded individuals with the right attitude. TO BE SUCCESSFUL, YOU WILL HAVE:Previous Freight receiving /checking, pick packing and forklift experience Can do attitude and willingness to learnA work history that demonstrates that you are reliable and dependableThe ability to operate in a fast-paced environment without compromising on safety, quality or service deliveryAbility to work independently and within a team environmentAbility to work within a refrigerated and cold stores working environmentKEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:Accurately staging freight according to load plan or moving stock to designated areas using either electric pallet jack or forkliftLiaising with appropriate area/individuals if any discrepancies foundBeing diligent in identifying any damages, temperature checking and reporting accordinglyEnsure that all manifests are finalized and printed in accordance with schedule cut-offs and available for processing at the designated Data Entry collection point. Ensure correct labelling and placement of stickers on pallets that have been checked. Conduct checks of all rooms to ensure no pallets/consignments have been overlooked/missedCorrect completion of all paperwork for each consignment including manifest, consignment notes and load plansSupport Customer Service with information to assist with incident investigationMaintaining a clean safe work environment, complying with all site safety requirements.Supporting Sands Fridge Lines’ compliance to all relevant Transport and Food Safety legislationTO APPLYIf you are looking for an exciting, dynamic, hands-on role, then come join the Sands Team.
