The company is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to join its team to optimise warehousing and distribution resources, meet customer demands, follow cost-effective practices, and oversee a small team of employees while adhering to high safety standards. The Position Reporting to the Operations Manager, your duties will include: Provide direction and leadership to all employees involved in both direct and indirect distribution activities Implement and practice safety protocols, and maintain safety training procedures Identify and resolve quality issues, as well as ensure customer quality standards Develop and lead a team dedicated to achieving business strategic goals Assure that all employees are adequately trained and inducted to perform their jobs safely Achieve the lowest distribution costs by balancing service and quality requirements Manage the forklift fleet, interstate freight, and warehouse pallet movements Maintain a safe storage and rotation of stock, when and as required Preparation and execution of stocktakes, cycle counts and spot checks Provide warehouse staff with adequate resources to ensure efficient workflows Release customer orders to be picked and delivered as per transit requirements Consult with transport providers about day-to-day volumes and stock movements The Candidate In addition to demonstrating proven leadership and management experience in warehousing and logistics, you will possess these skills: A thorough understanding of the regulations, standards, and demands of the industry Ability to lead, influence, and motivate employees to achieve optimal productivity Establish and maintain effective communication at all levels of the organisation Capable of troubleshooting, making decisions, and managing incidents Awareness of warehouse operational processes and procedures Demonstrated proficiency in using ERP and WMS operating softwares As a member of one of the industry's most respected and leading manufacturers, you will have the chance to elevate your career and contribute to the management of efficient company operations.
