Social Worker - Grade 2 Full time ongoing acute hospital social worker Competitive salary of $86,730 - $99,699 Join our collaborative and experienced acute team at City Campus The Royal Melbourne Hospital is one of Victoria’s largest hospitals providing a comprehensive range of health services including acute, sub-acute, general, and specialist medical services throughout inpatient and community-based facilities. This role involves the provision of Social Work service, supervision and education of student and junior Social Workers and will be a member of our supportive team. The Social Work team consists of over 40 staff members who work across the City and Royal Park Campuses in acute, sub-acute and community based services across a range of specialties. Your new role: Provide clinical excellence and Social Work service across the acute wards with flexibility to work across other areas as needed. Complete psychosocial assessments and provide emotional support and counselling to patients and their families and/or carers You will be supported by Social Work team leaders (grade 3) and clinical lead (grade 4) as well as the ward based multi-disciplinary team Be part of and contribute to a dynamic and progressive Social Work team. Foster positive team and workplace culture as a Grade 2 clinician. About You: You are a qualified Social Worker (either current member or current eligibility for AASW) with at least 4 years work experience as a Social Worker You deliver excellent person-focused clinical care to patients and their carers. You demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
