Social Work Team Leader, Grade 3 Adult Acute mental health The Royal Melbourne Hospital Part-time (64 hours), permanent position available Work within a motivated multidiscipline team Flexible and supportive working arrangements Support evidence based interventions John Cade Adult Acute Psychiatry Unit, The Royal Melbourne Hospital, provides specialised mental health care to consumers in a dynamic environment that strives to, at all times, maintain a focus on recovery and patient centred care. Our unit has a strong commitment to innovative practice around trauma informed care and reduction in restrictive interventions. The Social Work Team Leader will oversee the day to day running of the social work team. This includes daily co-ordination and allocation of all the EMR referrals to the social work team, workload monitoring and recording completion of the tasks. The Social Work Team Leader works alongside the SW3, SW2s, the Entry Level Grade 1 social workers, pre-graduate social workers, social work students, FaPMI co-ordinator and Specialist Family Violence Advisor as well as the Consumer and Carer Lived Experience Workforce. Your new role: An opportunity to work alongside a passionate and dedicated team Provide professional social work knowledge, expertise and leadership in assessment, acute treatment care and support Contribute to excellence of inpatient care through modelling social work practice standards and holding oversight of the provision of social work service delivery to the multidisciplinary treatment team. About you: You have experience in the mental health field Ability to provide leadership and undertake a range of social work interventions, including individual, family, and group work Oversee co-ordination of social work specific psychosocial assessments and interventions. Knowledge of issues associated with the impact of mental illness on dependent children, family and carers including those from culturally and linguistically diverse communities.
