Territory Sales Manager - Companion Animal (Fixed Term Contract) Full-time, (approx. 10 months) Temporary Fixed Term Contract Field Sales opportunity with excellent renumeration Candidate to be based in: North/East Melbourne Would suit a passionate, motivated sales orientated individual within Companion Animal Health Be part of a Trusted Global Leader in Animal Health Join a friendly, dedicated, experienced team and be fully supported TOT (Tool of Trade) provided, e.g. Car, Laptop, Phone Our Territory Representatives interact face to face with our customers, understand their needs and consult to offer the right solutions. We work collaboratively in Field Sales Teams and play a critical role in supporting our customer centric business model. The primary responsibility of the Territory Manager is to maximise sales across the company's product range within a designated territory. The Territory Manager is based in field within their defined territory and reports to the Regional Sales Manager/Sales Lead. What You Will Do Responsibilities include, however not limited to: Achieve sales targets and activity levels for assigned territory and products. Develop and implement territory plans to achieve sales targets, regularly revising activity against achievement. Build and maintain effective working relationships with customers and clients e.g. Veterinarians, Vet Nurses, Store Managers, Field Representatives, Veterinary Technicians, Business Managers, etc. Utilise technical services team within territory to influence customers and clients to assist in delivery of technical messaging and drive sales. Leverage strong business relationships to deliver business results. Identify customer needs and clearly communicate how our companies Animal Health products and services can provide solutions. Effectively articulate the value of Our companies Animal Health products verse other treatment options. Identify and participate in all defined promotional tactics with the goal of maximising sales. Provide technical and sales training to wholesalers and customers to ensure accurate messaging is being transferred to the end user. Ensure product complaint investigation, pricing queries, compliance issues and follow up requests are executed appropriately and within required timelines. Provide corporate sales presentations to relevant consumer groups, customers and wholesalers as required. Regularly analyse customer data (through various systems and sources) to assist with territory, customer and pre-call planning, and the identification and targeting of high value customers. Maintain an active interest in improving selling skills, including Action Selling and key account management principles. Ensure effective communication across the sales and marketing team, share knowledge and participate positively in sales team meetings and marketing-initiated forums What You Must Have Tertiary business or science degree preferred. Demonstrated commercial success in a sales role essential. Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other technologies (e.g. iPad) essential. Ability to build long term relationships. Ability to convey technical information in a manner easily understood. High level of flexibility and resilience. Negotiation and influencing skills. Ability to problem solve in a logical manner. Excellent written and oral communication skills including audio visual presentations. Excellent organisational skills and timeliness in responding to customer needs. Ability to work well with others, demonstrating collaboration and inclusive behaviours. Self-starter with initiative who works well with minimal supervision. Ability to make decisions on a day to day basis concerning normal activities.
