In this role you will manage, lead and guide a technical team, committed to developing end to end, vertically integrated solutions, encompassing hardware design and software development. Role and Responsibilities: Joining the Sydney office, you will collaborate closely with the executive team, product development team, and a talented group of seven or more software engineers. Together, you will deliver new features to existing solutions, expand their platform to support new solution types, take existing solutions into new verticals, and innovate entirely new solutions. In this position, you will work with the executive team to shape and communicate a vision, define effective strategies, and execute them. You will engage with stakeholders ranging from the CEO to end-users, understanding their needs and ensuring alignment with our solutions. Your responsibilities will also include helping teams coordinate their work, ensuring they have the necessary resources, and evolving our systems to meet emerging challenges. They leverage a versatile technology stack, utilizing: Python, C++, PHP in software development Their systems run on AWS, on-premises, and across 3,000 systems. They also have a legacy of software that has been providing value for over 8 years, alongside cutting-edge solutions developed every week. About You: As an ideal candidate, you possess a unique blend of technical expertise and leadership skills. You have experience designing and delivering systems from conceptualization to implementation, considering hardware, software, and peopleware. You excel at communication, seamlessly bridging the gap between technical and business audiences. Whether you’ve served as a technical lead, head of engineering, chief engineer, product manager, or senior software engineer with additional responsibilities, you are proficient in: Writing software for servers, browsers, and resource-constrained devices. Managing cloud infrastructure declaratively. Defining continuous integration and deployment pipelines. Managing and versioning data and schemas. Applying lean software development principles. Coordinating work at both weekly and quarterly resolutions.
