The Role Due to an internal secondment, applications are invited from qualified and experienced candidates for a specialist role teaching Dance. Commencing Term 2, 2024 we currently have a 12 month fixed term full-time role available at our Wheelers Hill Campus. The successful applicant will have a proven skillset in Dance, and experience teaching this at VCE level. You will showcase a deep commitment to captivating and motivating students while effectively integrating modern learning techniques. As a member of our team, you will embody a genuine enthusiasm for learning and Dance and possess the ability to instil this passion in the hearts of our students. Key Duties Lead, support and facilitate within the Dance learning area across both the academic and co-curricular spaces (including assisting Dance Productions and the Dance Club) Review and assess students at the beginning of each program to provide a flexible program that caters for individual students. Deliver learning programs that demonstrate a research-based knowledge of how students learn. Model high expectations to enable a safe and supportive classroom culture. Evaluate personal teaching and learning programs including feedback from students and assessment data to inform planning. Design and deliver conceptually driven, student-centered learning activities using Formative Assessment Techniques. Model and live the Caulfield Grammar School values and behaviours. Skills and Experience Exceptional knowledge and experience in teaching Dance from Years 7 to 12 Ability to connect positively with students and show genuine care for their learning Willingness and enthusiasm to get invovled in Dance co-curricular activities Demonstrated commitment to professional development IB and Middle Years Programme experience (desirable) Teaching qualifications Current VIT registration For further information please see Position Description.
