Outstanding opportunity for Social Worker (Mental Health). Contracted position - 19 hours a week until mid-2025. Our client, a well-established, highly regarded Not-for-Profit organisation based in Toowoomba, is seeking a Social Worker - (Mental Health) to work 19 hours a week, contracted until mid-2025. Reporting to the Legal Services Manager, the Social Worker – (Mental Health) will be responsible for upholding and supporting individuals’ rights to live a safe and inclusive life. Excercising a degree of autonomy, the Social Worker will provide short to medium-term casework, offering referral options to support clients in engaging with the organisation’s legal services. Responsibilities: Conduct initial psychosocial assessments. Provide support, advocacy, and counselling. As required, develop intervention plans and safety plans. Facilitate client referrals to other organisations and services for further specialised support. Engage collaboratively in case discussions. Create a Community Engagement Plan to contribute to community education and engagement regarding services provided by the organisation. The ideal candidate will have: Bachelor of Social Work. Hold or be immediately eligible to obtain a Queensland Disability Worker Card Two years post-graduate experience (highly desirable) AASW membership eligibility.
