We are currently offering an opportunity for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join us as a Mechanical Design Engineer. This role is a fantastic opportunity to showcase your expertise in factory automation and special purpose machine design. This is a 2 year maximum term position based at our Head Office in Clayton and may involve some local and interstate travel. Position responsibilities will include: Developing lean mechanical concepts for tools, fixture and assembly stations Designing machines according to HSE guidelines Designing equipment using standard libraries and components Performing design reviews and risk assessments Providing technical support to contractors to design and fix machines Maintaining mechanical drawings according to Bosch quality standards and norms Supporting workshop team and suppliers during equipment build phase Preparing value propositions, quotations and customer presentation Creating and storage of standard parts for Computer Aided Design (CAD) database Providing design documentation and using checklists
