High growth Industrial Machinery business that is part of a global organisation is currently seeking an Accounting Manager. This is a really varied role to give a candidate a great challenge to work closely with the General Manager and be responsible for the day to day Accounting activities of the site. After a period of high growth and the replacement of a long-term employee, this is a great opportunity to be the focal point of contact within finance for the Australian subsidiary of a global business. Acting as a business partner to the General Manager and overseeing the administration and transactional accounting activities this role should attract either a solid Senior Accountant looking to make a step up or established Accounting Manager looking for a new challenge. Description Periodic Reporting to overseas Parent Company Preparing commentary for budget / actual variances General Ledger reconciliation including payroll expenses, fixed assets & stock Business partnering with GM around Budget vs Forecast Performance Annual budget preparation and regular forecast updates. Assistance with Stock Take Management Monthly Payroll Tax preparation (Superannuation, GST) Liaising with external accountant firm for preparing statutory accounts, company's tax compliance, FBT tax and any local accounting policies Bank Reconciliations Approval of Sales Orders for Invoicing Expense Approvals Management of Monthly Payroll activities including Query resolution Oversight of 3 Staff (Transactional Accounting & Administration) Profile The ideal candidate will be CPA OR CA Qualified with a solid grounding in Accounting. You will have good stability in prior roles and maybe looking to move into a more varied role or seeking a role that is conveniently located in Western Sydney. A pro-active approach alongside experience in a rounded finance role would be beneficial as is the ability to communicate effectively with both the immediate team and wider management team. An exposure to MS Dynamics 365 (or similar sized Accounting software) would be beneficial. This role is located on site 5 days per week.
