About the Opportunity The Graduate Electronics Engineer within EOS Defence Systems (EOS DS) is responsible for assisting with routine systematic approaches in a team-based environment to solve problems using disciplined engineering techniques (e.g. software, mechanical, electronics, system, testing etc). The role is also responsible for applying sound knowledge to the development of products and designs that support the product development and product goals of EOS DS. Graduate Electronics Engineers exercise sound engineering technical knowledge within or across specialist disciplines and the ability to work under general direction and assist with strategic alignment, adherence to governance and standards, and interacting with people in cross functional teams to achieve business outcomes with the appropriate levels of integrity, safety and ethics is critical to the role. Primary Duties: Assist in the field of electronics assembly and repair by assembling circuitry engineering prototypes and pre-production assemblies. Assist in drafting build/manufacturing documentation for production release. Assist with optimization projects, reliability and integrity improvements. Assemble circuitry for engineering prototype and pre-production assemblies, including circuit board integration with mechanical housings, wiring loom preparation, and circuit testing. Assist in project execution for design, product selection, product specification, technical queries, construction and assembly support and testing and commissioning. Assist as required with integration of opto-mechanical and electronic subassemblies. Assist with documenting new details of assemblies, including loom lengths, circuit changes and best mechanical placements. Attend training, development and mentoring opportunities as part of a growth development plan. Work closely with other engineering disciplines to ensure cohesive and complete system designs. Adhere to company procedures to achieve a safe and secure work environment. Job Description About You You can work cooperatively with teams and individuals and are detail and solution oriented. You are both inventive and analytical and you will need below mentioned experience and qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in electronic engineering or similar discipline. Experience in a similar role is desirable. Knowledge and experience with AutoCAD Electrical. Demonstrate technical proficiency in machine control and functional principles of safety. Experience with multi-disciplinary teams in a structured product development or project engineering environment is desirable. Strong written and interpersonal communication skills with a desire to continuously improve and overcome challenges. Keen for continued personal development and growth. Electrical engineering knowledge and willingness to learn about design for manufacture/assembly/cost.
