The Role This is a full time role for a senior engineer supporting the Electronics Engineering team, who can contribute to Leica project teams to ensure successful project outcomes for our products. Reporting Structure LBS employs a matrix organisation structure whereby the associate may have two supervisors: the Program/Project manager and the line manager. The line manager for this role is the Electronics Resource Group Manager. Skills and Experience Pre-requisite - Degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent. - Sound knowledge of analogue and/or digital design. - High level of exposure to a process driven, highly regulated, design, development and manufacturing environment. - Some level of experience in signal and power integrity principles, EMC, DFR, DFT, DFM and safety. - Experience in root cause/failure analysis and mitigation, in board level fault detection. - Experience in creating and interpreting technical documentation. - Exposure to electronic CAD tools (Altium preferred) for both schematic capture and lay-out design. - Task setting and scheduling (self and other team members' activities). - Very good interpersonal and communication skills; ability to train, mentor and coach others. - Attention to detail - Registered Professional Engineer in Victoria Desirable - Experience in the delivery of robust and high quality electronic solutions that are compliant with all applicable regulatory requirements. - Wide electronics experience, from power supplies to microcontroller based embedded systems. - Experience in selection and utilisation of various sensors and actuators. - Involvement in FMEA, hazards and risk analysis activities. - Experienced Altium user. - Exposure to electronic CAD tools for circuit simulation.
