Our client Rehau, is a leading global polymer specialist operating in over 54 countries, they develop modern building materials, technologies and services for the future. They drive progress for a better quality of life and help shape it In line with business growth, they require an additional Plumbing Industry Area Sales Manager to join their successful team. The role is a new position due to market growth and we are looking for someone who will grow and mature with the role. As the Area Sales Manager, you will work in conjunction with the Victorian sales team, National Sales and Product Managers to identify market opportunities and increase market share and sales through targeted activities with the current Building Technology Australia product portfolio. You will be supported to provide technical and sales support to local distributors, installers and engineers through product training and joint business development activities. Comprehensive on the job training will be provided to ensure that you are successful in the role. Your duties will include. Maintain, develop and build on current relationships with plumbing installers, builders and specifiers within an allocated sales region: Melbourne City and Regional Victoria. Build on current knowledge of Rehau's new and existing products, competitor products and other general market information. Conduct joint site installation inspections with new and existing customers. Attend site toolbox meetings to train customers. Identify projects, and work with Vic team on a strategy to convert sale. Cold calling construction and residential sites to present products. Work with other states Technical and Area Sales Managers by passing information on plumbers who are active in the industry. Maintain activity records and reports on all phases of field activities as required by management via Salesforce.com. Maintain contact with customers in person, by telephone and via email in accordance with a structured call plan. Provide technical support services to customers as appropriate. Monitor competitor activity and report significant developments to the National Sales Manager. Achieve set conversion targets and goals as per sales process and target agreement. Research customer needs and satisfaction feedback. Ensure that complaints are followed up and that satisfactory solutions are obtained for both parties. Work with TAFE and apprenticeship organizations to promote their products. Grow the active monthly accounts (AMA’s) by increasing the customer base. In conjunction with local key distributors develop a key target list to undertake joint business development calls to convert new business. Deliver training presentations, tooling demonstrations and information sessions within your branch allocation. As the ideal candidate you will have a background in Building and Construction or a similar industry. You will be very technically minded with 2 to 3 years sales experience in the industry.
