St Thomas the Apostle School is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic teacher / leader to join our staff and community. The Deputy Principal supports the Principal in the leadership of the school, working collaboratively to develop the Catholic identity, and foster a community to implement the school&39;s vision for learning. The Mathematics Leader role is for 2024 in line with the current cycle of our Positions of Leadership. The role of Numeracy Intervention could also be a one day teaching component in this full time position. There will be a classroom teaching component. Our welcoming school works collaboratively with parents to provide an excellent education in a faith-filled community. Applicants must demonstrate: successful experience in a leadership role in a Catholic primary school experience in a range of educational settings excellent communication skills and an ability to create positive relationships with all members of the school (staff, students and families), the parish and wider community post graduate qualifications and a commitment to ongoing professional learning accreditation to teach / lead in a Catholic school accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic school current VIT registration knowledge of the Child Safe Standards and of the expectations of a staff member in adhering to them an ability to use data to improve student learning an understanding of the Victorian Curriculum and current curriculum initiatives confidence in using technology an understanding of the AITSL Standards Highly desired criteria: Knowledge of the Science of Learning and Science of Reading approach LFIN and ENA knolwedge Application Procedures: Applications should be made in writing and include the names and contact details of at least three referees, including your current Principal and your Parish Priest.
