About the role: The Aircraft Maintenance Organisation (AMO) plays a critical role in ensuring the continuous airworthiness, reliability, and configuration of F100, A320 & B737 aircraft, whilst satisfying regulatory and company requirements. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager the Senior Engineer is responsible for the oversight of safety, quality, performance, control, and compliance of aircraft maintenance. The Senior Engineer performs the administrative management and front-line leadership of the maintenance team and facility. The Senior Engineer collaborates with production planning and applicable Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation (CAMO) for prioritisation and coordination of all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance. The role is technically focused to achieve safe, compliant, and efficient results in the production of aircraft maintenance. The Senior Engineer position is the alternate CASA Form 4 holder for the Maintenance Manager - Responsible Manger You will be required to participate in the delivery of quality services whilst maintaining a safe work environment for yourself and fellow workers. About you: To do this, you will be an appropriately licensed LAME, have extensive industry experience in an aircraft line & base maintenance leadership role with the ability to display excellent analytical skills and have demonstrated supervisory experience. You will have a mind for continuous improvement, and you will work closely with the AMO management team as a Subject Matter Expert when implementing change. You will also have a good working knowledge and commitment of WHS requirements, demonstrated experience in superior customer service practices and have the ability to communicate with all levels of the engineering team. Essential skills & experience: CASA PT66 type rated licence (A320,737 or F100 desirable but not essential) Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of the VARA Exposition Demonstrated knowledge of the MOS Part 145 and CASR Part 145 2 years relevant aircraft maintenance supervisory or management experience with an additional 3 years experiences in civil aircraft maintenance. Strong organisational and leadership skills Self-motivated with the ability to delegate to capable team members. Proactive, diligent and forward-thinking nature towards aircraft maintenance Availability to work shift work (day shift only) Ability to hold a valid ASIC Ability to hold an ADA Desirable skills & experience: Ability to learn technical and detailed procedures as required for this function. Well organized and detail-oriented team player Excellent verbal & Written communication skills Knowledge of WHS requirements Experience in Root Cause Analysis Previous experience being a CASA form 4 is desirable but not essential You must be able to demonstrate recent certification experience of a minimum of 6 months in the preceding 2 years. This can be demonstrated through either a letter from your current/previous QA manager advising the number, type and length of QA approvals held or by submitting your current/previous employer Company Approval statement.
