About the role In this role, you will prepare and recommend organisation structure proposals as well as design new ways of working, by identifying function and role accountabilities and mapping organisation structure changes in future state horizons to enable the future state vision. Work type: Temporary, full-time (contract until June 2024) Classification: Band 6 ($90,263 - $97,365) Key responsibilities include: Understand the current state business challenges and analyse organisation structures to provide sound restructuring recommendations. Develop position descriptions, structure options and structure change documentation required to support any structure and role change components of organisation design projects. Engage in the job evaluation process as an active member of the job evaluation panel for the City ensuring subject matter expertise is considered and evaluations are undertaken in a timely, consistent and robust manner. Undertake research, data collection and benchmarking activities to analyse, develop and document insights to inform, support and validate organisation design projects. Support the Transformation Office project leads to ensure that all projects are compliant with relevant HR policy and process, prior to beginning implementation. Collaborate with the 1Transformation Office teams and provide support for projects ensuring that all the details of organisation design projects have been captured and translated into change documentation. Liaise with key departments within the Strategy, Governance and Corporate Directorate and business leads to ensure they have appropriate support and that they remain up to date on change projects. Review, develop and prepare implementation plans. Support workshop facilitation to identify current state challenges and gather feedback from sessions to inform recommendations. Manage multiple activities simultaneously ensuring that the required documentation and processes are complete in time. About you To be successful in this role you will have experience in workplace change projects involving restructuring, process re-engineering, system implementation, target operating models and/or service redesign. Essential Experience: Degree qualifications in Organisation Psychology, Management, Human resources, or a related field with some experience working in project environment. Experience in using Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), data analysis and report writing to support organisational design, workforce planning and talent acquisition activities. Experience providing transformation and organisation design advice. Ability to manage change, be innovative and to identify process improvements. Demonstrated problem solving and decision-making abilities along with the ability to recommend solutions. Well-developed communication skills with the ability to relate to people at all levels with the ability to influence where appropriate. Experience and ability to embrace complexity and ambiguity. Effective team member skills to support and contribute to an environment of high-functioning, productive and engaged teams. The health and safety of our people is our highest priority.
