About the role Reporting to the General Counsel, you will be responsible for timely , high quality legal advice and assistance to the Commissioner and the PSC across the full range of legal work handled by PSC Legal Services Branch. A primary focus of this Principal Lawyer role is to provide and supervise/manage the provision of legal services in relation to : commercial and contractual law related legal work, including advice and transaction support for procurement and other contractual matters. privacy and intellectual property related legal work in relation to the PSC?s operations and programs of work. PSC internal governance, policy and compliance work, particularly concerning government sector finance, intellectual property, privacy and other government law/commercial law issues. About you You will be a senior lawyer with experience in commercial law, government procurement, intellectual property law, administrative law, statutory interpretation, and/or employment law . You will have experience providing complex legal advice /services at a senior level in a fast paced environment with competing deadlines . You will have excellent written and oral communication skills . You will have well developed organisational and stakeholder management skills . You are able to demonstrate that you meet the capabilities listed in the Role Description . You must meet the following essential requirements: Law degree from an accredited law school or completion of the Legal Practitioners Admission Board?s Diploma in Law Course. Admission or eligibility for admission as a legal practitioner in NSW. C urrent legal practising certificate enabl ing supervision of legal practice in NSW.
