Client Details Our client is a leading supplier of parts to the automotive industry, known for their exceptional customer service. Description The Warehouse Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing a dynamic team including store people, drivers, subcontractors, and warehouse supervisors. This pivotal role involves the comprehensive supervision of inbound and outbound goods, stock replenishment and inventory control. The Warehouse Operations Manager will play a significant role in optimising warehouse performance, improving operational processes, and ensuring exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities: Team Leadership and Development: Lead, coach, and mentor the warehousing leadership team. Execute succession planning to nurture talent within the organisation. Operational Excellence: Utilise Warehouse Management System (WMS) data to make informed business decisions. Implement continuous improvements in warehouse layout, bin locations, pick runs, and other operational processes. Financial Accountability: Assume full P&L responsibility for the warehouse. Review Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to enhance productivity and maintain customer satisfaction. Service Level Agreements: Ensure the organisation adheres to Service Level Agreements (SLAs), particularly focusing on DIFOT (Delivery In Full, On Time) targets. Inventory Management: Maintain inventory integrity and implement strategies to minimise damaged and lost goods. Implement best practices for inventory control and accuracy. Profile The ideal candidate will have: Proven experience in warehouse and logistics management. Experience managing a fast paced, high SKU number and complex operation Good understanding of the storage and distribution of fragile unpalletized goods/ugly freight (highly regarded) Strong leadership and team management skills. Proficiency in utilising Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other systems for data-driven decision-making Demonstrated success in P&L management and KPI development. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of inventory management best practices.
