Icon is actively seeking an accomplished Construction Manager to spearhead our operations in the Northern Territory. Position Overview: In the role of Construction Manager, you will work with the broader business in identifying new business opportunities and assisting in securing these projects, taking on the overarching responsibility for projects across the Northern Territory. The ideal candidate will possess a proactive and results-oriented approach, coupled with a strong background in construction management, impeccable leadership skills, and a comprehensive understanding of project timelines and financial parameters. Key Responsibilities: Identify new business leads and opportunities and in conjunction with the business assist in bidding and securing new projects. Direct the comprehensive management of construction projects, ensuring meticulous planning, adherence to quality standards, and strict fiscal discipline. Facilitate effective collaboration with project stakeholders, including architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers, to ensure seamless coordination and successful project execution. Develop and implement project schedules, resource plans, and budgets to achieve project objectives, with a strategic focus on optimizing resources. Monitor and enforce compliance with safety regulations and company policies on construction sites, maintaining a commitment to a secure working environment. Conduct regular site inspections to verify that work progresses in accordance with established plans and specifications, ensuring the highest standards of quality. Address and resolve issues and conflicts that may arise during construction, employing diplomatic and strategic approaches to maintain project momentum. Provide regular, detailed project updates to senior management, highlighting key milestones, addressing challenges, and offering strategic recommendations. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Demonstrated experience as a successful Construction Manager, with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget. In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and processes. Experience working on Projects within Defence, Health, Commercial or Complex Services upwards of $70m Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a diverse team. Capacity to manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring each receives the attention and oversight necessary for success. Familiarity with industry-relevant software and tools for project management.
