Hybrid working mode (2 - 3 days in the CBD office) Mid-Career job opportunity with strong potential for internal promotion after a couple of years Early stage internet security tech company whose products that are set to be used by the world's biggest enterprises is looking for a talented DevOps engineer with at least five years of commercial experience who's in the mid-stage of his career and is not far away from making a jump into a senior position. You'll fit in here if you've got a challenger mindset and is keen to make a mark on a high impact startup. This role will involve working with a small Infrastructure team of 2 based in Sydney (engineering team consists of roughly 20 technologists). The role will report into the CTO, he is newly promoted into the role due to his success with other functions within the business and is currently re-engineering the function to help improve efficiencies You will be interacting with internal technologists everyday (e.g. QA Engineers, Rust Software Engineers, Front End Developers) and being a startup, responsibilities will widely vary from deploying the solution using the AWS ecosystem, CI/CD enhancements, setting up advanced observability infrastructure, rolling out CDNs, AWS improvements into infrastructure as code, overseeing & troubleshooting installations, and looking after all the hardware. The role will cover deployment, automation, DevOps and Systems Engineering. It's a high throughput and highly available environment which is big and complex with the potential to handle over 10 million daily transactions with high SLAs. Some experience in setting up CDNs will also be highly desirable as these systems will be deployed globally.
