Role description: Our Buildings Design business has a growing pipeline of work on the horizon across VIC and NSW which has created an opportunity for an experienced Principal Electrical Engineer to join either our Melbourne or Sydney based MEP team to deliver projects across the building services and infrastructure sectors with a particular focus on upcoming precincts, rail station design, defence and social infrastructure opportunities. Role accountabilities: Delivery and sign-off of full electrical design on significant building projects in commercial, retail, health and transport sectors; Managing an on-going relationship with the client and influencing decisions in both the client organisation and the industry and promoting Arcadis; Taking responsibility for resource allocation, collaborating with other design disciplines ensuring the integrity of the overall design, quality assurance, and client expectations are met; Understanding our client's business and the NSW or VIC industry, to facilitate building effective and enduring relationships and consolidating both company and personal credibility in the industry; Leading by example to implement a high level of innovation in technical issues, problem solving and the culture of the team; and Being a trusted advisor to clients and stakeholders, providing expertise, assisting through technical decision-making, and optioneering with project changes. Qualifications & Experience: First and foremost, you share our passion for improving quality of life. You are a seasoned electrical engineering professional with strong industry ties and demonstrated credibility in a design consulting environment. You will come to us with: Substantial experience in the Building Services and Infrastructure sectors in retail, commercial, infrastructure and healthcare projects of significant scale and complexity; Demonstrated commercial acumen across contracting, invoicing, debt management, and client management; Proven ability to build and maintain enduring relationships with clients resulting in winning repeat work; Confidence in coordinating and liaising effectively with clients and contractors to secure successful outcomes; Consultative leadership style and demonstrated experience managing inter-disciplinary design interfaces and/or projects collaboratively; Experience in Construction Phase Services (CPS) and inspections and application of technical knowledge of mechanical design, documentation and standards; and Chartered status will be highly regarded.
