Shape decisions that will develop & sustain WA’s water sourcesAn opportunity to work on complex capital projects across WAPermanent role based in Leederville from $127,902 Super Benefits About the roleWe have a permanent opportunity within our Construction Services team for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to provide expertise, engineering & delivery support for our capital projects across WA. You’ll work closely with our metro & regional projects, operations and maintenance groups to help optimise the performance and life of existing assets and contribute to being the centre of expertise for relevant technical areas. This role is based in our Leederville office and will report to the Team Leader Mechanical. What the role will involveProactively work on a portfolio of assigned projects in assisting the team deliver an excellent standard of support to our clientsProvide innovative cost-effective mechanical expertise & advice, leadership and support as part of each multi-disciplinary project team, to deliver compliant, operational and fully functional assetsProvide mechanical engineering expertise to the cs mechanical team & our clients relating to water, wastewater and drainage assets, including technical, documentation & practical advice and supportTake ownership, carry out and manage safety and quality assurance activities in conjunction with project stakeholders in evaluating asset compliance with standards, design specifications, contract conditions, and operational effectiveness Undertake project familiarisation, project meetings, stakeholder engagement, tender / design reviews, conduct asset inspections & reporting activities, support the commissioning & handover of assets and provide comments in terms of constructability, operability and maintainability of assets Key skills and experienceYou’ll have a recognised Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent commensurate with the role, along with considerable & demonstrated experience working in multi-disciplinary teams on asset delivery projects including construction, commissioning and handover. Your ability to provide technical expertise, advice and leadership on new and existing assets, contractor management, reporting and diagnostics as well as maintaining your development and performance, will ensure success in this role.
