Part Time position - 21 hours per week, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday Salary: $1,430 to $1,600 per fortnight, plus superannuation. About us Hornsby Shire is located on Sydney's upper north shore, approximately 25 kilometres north of the CBD. Known as the ‘Bushland Shire’, our local government area is characterised by bushland comprising national park, major waterways, natural reserves and rural landscape. The rest of the Shire combines urban, rural and open spaces. About the role In your new role you will play an active role by providing high quality administrative and customer service support to the Library & Community Services Branch. This position is responsible to the Manger, Library & Community Services and has three major components; · Undertake the administrative functions of the Library & Community Services Branch. · Provision of customer service to internal staff and external customers. · Assist with the co-ordination of specific projects and services which include: Library meeting room bookings Justice of the Peace volunteer program Reports Promotional material Activities and events About you We are seeking a person with excellent communication and organisational skills. You will have strong computer skills within the office environment and high level customer service skills. We are looking for somebody with a can-do attitude, who is flexible and has a good attention to detail. This position is based at the Hornsby Central Library and will be required to liaise with all teams within the branch and with other relevant Council staff. You will be expected to work in a business office environment, and may be required to visit other Council premises, related Business premises, or locations within the shire in order to conduct your role.
