Retail Consultant (Data and Insight) — Middle Park, Port Phillip

This is an exciting opportunity to work with an innovative, fast-growing start-up, working with some of the most established retail brands in Australia as well as other APAC region. This varied role will support retail and financial services clients refine all aspects of their proposition through rigorous e role will leverage the largest source of customer data to support commercial and operational decision-making in many areas including range planning, pricing, promotions and own brand development. Key responsibilities: Partner with retail clients to enhance their commercial offerings using advanced analytics to drive customer engagement and increased efficiency Structure and implement consulting and technology propositions to enable our clients to continuously improve the relevance of their communications to and experiences of, their customers, developing and reinforcing brand loyalty. Establish analytical approaches for performance analysis and customer behaviour reporting to help clients uncover insights and identify opportunities for growth. Develop statistical models to provide business solutions, e.g. optimised range assortment, pricing and promotions. Lead the development of customer fundamental insights, e.g. customer and basket segmentations and work with the data team to productionise these. Be able to communicate / present solutions and make clear recommendations Requirements Degree in a relevant subject or related field, e.g. Mathematics, Computer/Data science Minimum 5 years’ experience working within Retail or Consulting Established programming skills (Python, Spark, SQL, R) Accomplished experience with Data Visualisation tools (Power BI, Tableau) Knowledge of a variety of machine learning techniques (decision tree learning, artificial neural networks, etc.) and their real-world advantages/drawbacks. Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, statistical tests, clustering, etc.) and experience with applications. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams.
