5-7 years’ PQE Global consumer goods, retail, and luxury brands business Business facing corporate and commercial role About the client Our client is a global consumer goods company with a portfolio of well-known brands in the fashion and luxury goods sectors. It also has operations in the healthcare sector. This business is well established in Australia and operates through both retail and wholesale market channels. About the role Reporting to the General Counsel and working with two other lawyers in the regional legal team, you will be responsible for legal matters and managing risks associated with the business’ operations. You will advise on consumer matters, brand marketing and advertising programs, and assist with general commercial and contract law matters. You will also work with the General Counsel on corporate law, M&A, company secretarial and governance matters. About you You will have 5-7 years PQE combined with strong technical legal skills, including contract drafting and advisory matters. Your experience will have been gained in private practice coupled with in-house and/or secondment experience. Exposure to a consumer led environment will be highly regarded, as will any experience in private practice working across corporate or commercial law, consumer law, or intellectual property. You can think on your feet, manage ambiguity and the changing priorities of a fast-moving, consumer facing business. You will enjoy working as part of a cohesive supportive teams and thrive in a role where you will be a genuine business partner.
