Your Impact: As the Deputy Chief Engineer (PMG), you'll have the ability influence in achieving TMR's strategic objectives. By collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, you'll provide vision and strategic direction to transform the way we build and maintain roads. What You'll Achieve: Lead the Pavements, Materials & Geotechnical Directorate, charting a course for exceptional outcomes that align with government priorities. Foster innovation through partnerships with regions, industry, and research bodies to pioneer cost-effective advancements in pavement technology. Shape technical standards pivotal to road construction in Queensland, ensuring our roads stand as beacons of quality and resilience. Elevate the PMG vision for sustainable roads, pioneering sustainability, and resilience at the core of our initiatives. What You Bring : Proven prowess in engineering leadership, driving results and innovation from ideation to fruition. Extensive expertise in Pavements, Materials, and Geotechnical fields, staying ahead of industry shifts. Adeptness in managing multidisciplinary teams, cultivating a collaborative atmosphere for peak performance. Influential communication skills, translating complex technical matters into actionable strategies. A strategic mindset with a fervent commitment to progress and pioneering advancements in the field. A Washington Accord accredited four-year degree in Engineering or equivalence recognised by Engineers Australia. Registration as a Professional Engineer of Queensland is mandatory for appointment to the position. Engineers may still apply for the position without being a RPEQ, provided they attain registration prior to appointment.
