If so, then we want to hear from you As a Legal Officer, you will be responsible for supporting the drafting of legal documents and advice relating to Crown land transactions, legislation, and regulatory frameworks, which are contemporary and fit for purpose. This role is highly responsive and customer focused in delivering legal services to the Department and in particular the Land Use Management Division. This is a pool recruitment process for opportunities at Specified Callings Level 3 in our Perth office. Suitable applicants will be placed in a Pool from which appointments may be made for similar vacancies for a period of 12 months. We currently have one Full-Time, Fixed-Term Contract available, with the possibility of extension or permanency. This process may be used to fill future similar permanent or fixed-term positions that may arise across the WA public sector in the next 12 months from the initial date of appointment. To be successful for this position, you need to demonstrate: Demonstrated knowledge and experience in one or all of the following areas of law: property law, native title law and practice, administrative law and commercial law. Knowledge of Crown land law and practice would be desirable but not essential. Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships. Ability to undertake research and prepare accurate and practical pragmatic legal advice in short timeframes Proven ability to work collaboratively and contribute to the achievement of team outcomes. Demonstrated commitment to professional development.
