Your new team The Asset Allocation team is responsible for setting the fund's asset allocation and managing the funds Diversified Investment Option portfolios. This includes generating actionable insights based on in-depth macroeconomic and investment strategy research. Portfolio construction integrates these insights into the fund's investment options, which encompasses the vast majority of member assets, across the risk / return spectrum. The team's key aim is to ensure the delivery of the options' return objectives within their constraints. Your new role Reporting to the Head of Asset Allocation, this senior leadership role is responsible for directing and overseeing the portfolio construction of the fund's asset allocation strategy, and each of our Diversified Investment Option portfolios including managing their day-to-day exposures to exceed their objectives within constraints. The Head of Portfolio Construction key responsibilities include: Lead the development of the portfolio construction strategy of the Balanced Option's asset allocation, integrating asset allocation short, medium term, long-term perspectives and the strategies of other asset class teams. Manage the total portfolio construction of our diversified options which involves setting the benchmark portfolio and combining the strategies of the various internal and external teams into one coherent portfolio to meet our objectives within our constraints. Develop and recommend better ways to construct the Diversified Investment Option portfolios to achieve the Board's return objectives. Identify and recommend key themes/positions/risks for all options across asset allocation. Using the Balanced Option as our best ideas portfolio, you will oversee the portfolio construction strategy being reflected in the other Diversified Investment Option portfolios, to ensure they are positioned to exceed their objectives within constraints. Working with other teams across the Investment Domain to ensure the strategy is implemented in a timely and effective manner What you'll need Superior tertiary and post tertiary qualifications in a relevant field. At least 15 years' experience with an institutional fund manager with investment and portfolio management responsibilities. Experience across multi asset class, research, strategy, portfolio management. Successfully built and developed a high-performing team through attracting top talent, empowering team members to reach their full potential and by fostering a culture of collaboration. Ability to work in a team environment, collectively across asset classes and contribute to department initiatives. Strong investment acumen and understanding of investment and Total Portfolio Management. Ability to influence senior stakeholders. Exceptional problem solving and quantitative skills. Ability to synthesize complex information into concise conclusions.
