PRIMARY DETAIL The Department of Philosophy at Macquarie University is currently seeking expressions of interest for casual teaching in 2024. If you are interested in being engaged as a sessional teaching academic (casual academic) in 2024, please register your Expression of Interest and provide the requested details contained in the Qualtrics survey and the Workday application process as detailed below by 19 November 2023. THE ROLE The Department of Philosophy offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate units to students completing courses within the Faculty of Arts, as well as offering elective Arts units to students from other faculties at Macquarie University and OUA. We are currently inviting expressions of interest from individuals with a Masters or PhD qualification in Philosophy or a related discipline for inclusion within our casual academic pool to provide marking, demonstration, tutoring and / or (for more experienced academics) lecturing and other academic activity. Casual academic work will be available in units including PHIL1037 Critical Thinking, PHIL1031 Philosophy of Human Nature and PHIL1032 Happiness Goodness and Justice, and some 2000 and 3000 level units, depending on student enrolments. Our Sessional Teaching Academics will undertake activities for Session 1 and/or Session 2 and/or Session 3, 2024.
