This mature scale up business is on its next phase of investment and growth and are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Director to reset the go-to-market strategy in this fast paced and rapidly evolving market landscape. About the role: This business-critical role will form part of the executive leadership team and report directly to the CEO, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve the company's revenue and growth objectives. You will instil a high performing sales culture across the organisation and direct reports, foster strong client relationships, and identify opportunities to expand the client base. This role offers the chance to make a significant impact in the business in a dynamic and competitive industry while working with a forward-thinking executive leadership team. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement a strategic sales plan in alignment with the company's growth goals. Roll out a sales play book that will a significant impact in the market. Lead and mentor the sales team to achieve and exceed sales targets. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded. Identify and target potential clients through market research and networking. Collaborate with the marketing team to drive lead generation and brand awareness. Monitor and analyse sales performance, providing regular reports to the executive team. Drive innovation and improvements in the sales process to enhance productivity and efficiency. Stay up to date with industry trends and changes to ensure the business remains competitive and relevant. Experience & qualifications: Proven track record in executive sales leadership, preferably having spent time in a start-up/scale up tech business. Broad business acumen however you will be highly regarded if you have had exposure to the e-comm market. Excellent leadership and coaching skills with a focus on team development. Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to analyse sales data and market trends to inform decision-making. Strategic thinking and a results-oriented mindset. Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA is a plus).
