PRIMARY DETAIL Macquarie University is searching for their next Administration Officer to provide support and guidance to the under 18's international students Salary: HEW 5: $80,753 (pro-rata to 0.5 FTE), plus 17% superannuation and annual leave loading. Part-Time (0.5 FTE) , fixed-term (12 month) contract. Based at Wallumattagal campus, North Ryde. THE ROLE The Administration Officer will be a key contact for under 18 international students. You will provide a high level of support and guidance to these specific students of Macquarie University and Macquarie University College. This includes pre-arrival to completion such as accommodation support and visa enquiries, supervision, welfare access, transportation and domestic support, and review, administer and escalate obligations relating to ESOS. Other key responsibilities include: Be the key point of contact for under 18 international students and answer, resolve, refer or escalate enquiries from students and parents, maintaining a high standard of service to all current and potential stakeholders. Review, administer and where required escalate the needs and concerns of under 18 international students and act a point of contact in the case management and coordination for students to access a range of support services. Coordinate the student support and response to concerns or actionable matters for under 18 students involving internal services such as student wellbeing, accommodation services, RNA, language and cultural support to enhance student experience and safety. Prepare reports, documents and information materials for the Dean of Students, other key stakeholders including UMQ, International Admissions and in preparation for TEQSA and ESOS compliance reporting. Actively contribute to process improvement in the provision of administrative and support services and compliance outcomes for under 18 international students. Contribute to the planning and execution of communication, events and other initiatives to support and enhance under 18 international students experience, wellbeing and engagement. Maintain records, including data collection and integrity; information gathering; and data entry. This position sits within the Dean of Students (part of the Office of Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academic) has overall responsibility for student support services and student experience including Student Engagement, Equity, Diversity and Belonging, Complaints and Misconduct and Student Wellbeing Services. Knowledge of ESOS compliance and the university's obligations toward under 18 residential students including working with children compliance obligations. Understanding of the student visa process. Degree or equivalent experience in administration, customer service, business or related discipline. Knowledge of customer service and/or administration processes and associated policies. Knowledge of escalation processes. Able to contribute to continual improvement and transformation initiatives in student support services. Experience undertaking complex administration functions within tight deadlines. Familiarity with key student support functions. Ability to build and manage partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders.
