Title of Position Lytle Center Administrative Coordinator Posting Location Abilene, Texas Department Lytle Center for Faith and Leadership Employee Class Nonexempt Half-time Basic Responsibilities Assists the Director of the Lytle Center for Faith & Leadership Event management (registration, setup, scheduling, advertising) Recruit, hire and develop student workers to assist in marketing and facilitating events Essential Duties Assists the Director of the Lytle Center for Faith & Leadership Scheduling and managing Center meetings (creating agendas, taking meeting minutes, tracking action items, creating calendars) Submitting and tracking purchases and expense reports for the Center and Center Director Assisting in Lytle Center courses (attendance, grading, student feedback) Setting up meeting and event spaces in advance, assisting with guest speaker itineraries and correspondence Event Management Assist in planning Center trips and events in Abilene and off-site locations. Book travel for Center staff, students, and guests (using Concur travel system software) Tracking event budgets Coordinate registration processes and details for large groups of people Communicate with distinguished speakers on scheduling and accommodations Recruit, hire and develop student workers to assist in marketing and facilitating events Work with a student team to accomplish the following: Assist in marketing, advertising, and public relations efforts for the Center and for Center events Manage Center website, blog, and social media efforts Create and/or coordinate advertising for Center courses, events, and experiences Coordinate with College of Business and ACU marketing teams to highlight Center activities Communicate needs and provides guidance for special projects Professional Development Requirements Skills Ability to organize and ensure timely actions A high-level of business savvy and professionalism (comfortable interacting with corporate executives and leaders) Self-motivated and able to foresee Center needs and execute in accordance with Center Director Superior skills with Excel with an ability to create reports Excellent written and verbal communication Excellent project manager Strong public speaking ability (preferred) Training Required (prior training preferred but will train accordingly in these areas upon hire) COMPASS application Concur Expense Reporting Program Banner, alumni and student record databases Qualifications Professional (Required) Bachelor's Degree (Preferred) A minimum of two years in a previous administrative position (Preferred) A minimum of two years in a role related to the active planning and managing of events Personal Attention-to-detail Self-motivated Resourceful Personable Organized Collaborative Ability to maintain confidentiality Physical Demands Work extended hours (seasonally) Work evenings (rare) Travel (rare) Ability to handle high volume of information Additional Information ACU does not unlawfully discriminate on the basis of race, color, age, sex, disability, genetic information, national or ethnic origin in employment opportunities, in keeping with applicable state and federal law.
