About the role: Our Casual Barista is a key member of the hospitality team, bringing high-quality service and flawless coffee to our members and their guests while in our popular in-house cafés. This position is offering flexible hours across a Monday to Friday roster. Successful candidates can expect approximately 12-20 hours per week, with both morning and evening shifts available. Your day to day: Making consistently amazing coffee Keeping a keen eye on all elements of coffee production; including monitoring grind, extraction times and stock levels. Connecting with members and providing positive memorable service experiences. Providing assistance with events and meetings, and catering for guests when required. Maintaining a clean and safe working environment. Helping out with after-hours events including conferences, cocktail parties and presentations. Ideal skills and experience: High-standard Barista skills on a commercial machine. 2 years experience in a similar role preferable. Creative flare with latte art. Ability to keep cool, quick and efficient in peak periods. Authentic and friendly customer service. Valid RSA certification or keenness to obtain.
