Our client, a small Not for Profit organisation located NOR, is seeking a part time Early Childhood Teacher to cover Maternity Leave. To commence ASAP to December 2024 Flexible work days / hours approximately 20 hours per week. In this role you will help children develop a lifelong love of learning through child-led enquiry. Duties will include: Conduct small group meetings for educators to discuss curriculum planning and implementation Review current programs Assist with the collection, monitoring, assessing and analysing of child progress data Follow the organisations inclusive Practices Policy, promoting social justice and equity through an attitude of acceptance and respect for all children and their families Support educators with play base learning and setting up learning environments Guide and support teachers, assistants, students on field placement, volunteers and other personnel in best practices Essential Criteria: A recognised 4 year Early Childhood Teacher or Child Development qualification Experience in running a pre-kindy class Experience with adhering to educational standards and frameworks Experience in a small community based centre Excellent written and verbal communication skills Demonstrated intermediate computer skills Good analytical problem solving skills Proven ability to build and nurture respectful and mutually beneficial partnerships with parents and families Satisfactory National Police check Current Working with Children check Willingness to complete a recognised Senior First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Training Certificate If you are looking for an exciting opportunity to apply your experience in an environment that will challenge and reward you, please send your current resume to me today.
