About Us EOS Space Systems is an electro-optics technology developer and systems integration company, dealing primarily with leading edge space domain awareness systems and custom observatories in Australia and overseas. EOS Space systems generally consist of large “systems of systems”, with many smaller electronic control and instrumentation sub-systems brought together to implement complete observatory systems. Job Description About the Role Our Electronics Engineer will undertake both operational maintenance/repair of existing assets, and development of new capabilities. The incumbent is expected to undertake design, assembly, testing, maintenance, and documentation tasks as part of a highly agile and dynamic team. You will be involved at all stages of the design life – cycle and which will develop your skills to find solutions and manage them to ensure the desired outcome. Duties will include: Electronics hardware and software development Integration, testing, debugging and maintenance of EOS products. Systems design Develop design documentation within a Systems Engineering framework Work with adherence to Engineering Standards and best practices Actively work with other staff and teach skills and concepts in areas of proficiency to assist the general improvement of knowledge and capability within the group. Desired Skills and Experience About You We are looking for someone who can collaborate in a highly-paced environment and is a problem solver with attention to detail. The one who is self-motivated and a forward thinker. A person should be able to demonstrate the following: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineer or related field 5 years Industry experience or equivalent Experience in developing high quality embedded and PC based software Experience designing PCBs with Altium Designer and/or another PCB CAD package Be able to solve complex systems problems in collaboration with multiple disciplines Excellent schedule management Must be eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian Government security clearance and Australian Passport It is desirable but not essential if you also have any of the following: Post graduate qualifications Experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS) Experience with Agile Experience in detailed control systems design Experience with ISO9001 quality systems Due to the broad range of technologies used at EOS, a diverse range of design and maintenance skills would be highly regarded How to Apply If you are willing to take on a challenge and want to make a contribution to a proud Australian company that is growing rapidly then we would like to hear from you.
