Administration Officer – Orygen Inpatient Unit Ongoing full-time opportunity | Including monthly ADOs Based at Footscray Hospital | Flexibility and work-life balance Training and career progression opportunities Your new team Orygen Specialist Program provides mental health services to young people aged 15-25 (soon to be 12-25) and their families/carers in Melbourne's northwest and western suburbs. Our Inpatient Unit (IPU) is located in Footscray on the Western Hospital site. The IPU includes a low dependency and targeted specialised service delivery for youth with complex and acute mental health and psychosocial needs. Your new role: Ensure all admin tasks are managed effectively and efficiently, including but not limited to, completing admissions, placing clients on leave, processing discharges, switchboard, medical records, reception, maintaining appointment systems, stock management of forms, stationery and officer supplies. Data and record management using the Victorian mental health state-wide information system (CMI), hospital and local information management systems (iPM, Epic, EMR) efficiently and appropriately Work as part of a multidisciplinary team including leadership, clinical, medical, lived experience and other administrative staff Deliver a professional and caring customer focussed service, often as the first point of contact and communication for patients, their families and visitors About You: You will have initiative, a commitment to excellence, analytical and problem-solving skills, an ability to think conceptually as well as creatively, and the capacity and aptitude to. You have highly developed customer service and interpersonal skills, as well as: Previous administration experience in a mental health service and/or public health organisation Demonstrated understanding of confidentiality in managing data and information Demonstrated ability to prioritise, manage and respond flexibly to a variety of tasks Concise written and verbal communication skills, including professional telephone manner Demonstrated experience with medical record systems (CMI/RAPID, iPM, Epic) and computer skills with all Microsoft programs, and ability to learn other computer database programs Benefits of working with Orygen Specialist Program: Join us during this inspiring time of growth and transformation - career progression opportunities to suit your professional development goals.
