UGL and CPB Contractors have been awarded the early works contract to support Powerlink's delivery of CopperString 2032. This $5 billion iconic project will initially be approximately 840 kilometers of new transmission line running from just south of Townsville to Mount Isa that will connect Queensland's North West Minerals Province to the national electricity grid. The project scope includes: 500 kilovolt (kV) transmission line from just south of Townsville to Hughenden 330kV transmission line from Hughenden to Cloncurry 220kV transmission line from Cloncurry to Mount Isa Up to six new substation sites. This exciting project will commence construction in 2024 and we are currently looking for an experienced Temporary Works Design Coordinator to join the team. Reporting to the Design Manager, you will organise design resources to efficiently produce design deliverables in accordance with the Design Manager's or Engineering Manager's directives. Key Responsibilities Ensure that the design activities are properly coordinated in respect to inter-discipline and functional interface issues Review designs in line with Project Specific Technical Requirements along with Statutory, Legislative and construction and operational requirements Facilitate the resolution of any design issues from a technical and/or construction perspective Monitor any design issues which may arise out of defect rectification, value engineering or interface with external bodies Review and arrange construction support including design team inspection and supervision as required Requirements for this role: Tertiary qualifications in Engineering and RPEQ and/or CPEng is preferred Ability to develop and maintain project plans/programs and resource requirements. Experience developing and maintaining real time project dashboards preferred Quality Orientation - setting up and maintaining registers to track progress of multiple design packages. Strong adherence to prescribed systems and workflows (Teambinder experience preferred) Project management skills with the ability to work on projects with multiple participants and stakeholders Enjoy working in a dynamic work environment Strong level of interpersonal, written and oral communication skills High level of conceptual and analytical skills This is a Brisbane base role If this is role is of interest to you and you meet the above requirements, please click on the 'Apply now' button.
