Do you have what it takes to become a Smartgroup a Senior Legal Counsel? Reporting into the Group Legal Manager, you will handle a broad mix of legal work with a focus on supporting the operational matters of this successful business. In this diverse role, your key responsibilities will include: Reviewing and negotiating a variety of commercial contracts, tenders and product related queries. Responding and assisting with responding to various queries across the business, covering a broad range of legal areas such as corporate law, competition, privacy, IP, disputes, employment and contract interpretation. Collaborating with the business, the Group Legal Manager and the Chief Legal Officer on transactions and negotiations. Providing supervision, support and mentoring to Legal Counsel and Law Graduate in responding to various queries across the business. Management and continuing improvement of contracts database and contracts reporting and contributing to the development of new ideas, Assisting with the legal and compliance calendar Who are you? You will be a commercial lawyer with approximately 7 years' PQE. Ideally, you will have gained some experience in private practice and/or in-house or secondment. You must have the ability to handle a diverse mix of work and manage competing priorities.
