This Senior Product Designer role reports to a Lead level Designer, and sits within the Consumer product team. It is a part of a wider design team which consists of Design Researchers, Service Designers, Content Designers, Product Designers and Systems Designers across three main product groups, Consumer being the largest of the three. This role is crucial to the ongoing success and ambitious growth aspirations of our business, and is a high-priority hire to complete a team which is primarily focussed on payments, finance and other connected services. What you'll do Define and lead in the development of new concepts and solutions to improve the carsales products at every step of the user's experience journey. Understand user problems and uncover product pain points to design considered interfaces that meet business requirements and the needs of the end user. Conduct research and user testing studies to represent key insights that will help influence decisions and directions. Iteratively create interaction flows, wireframes, high-fidelity prototypes and finely crafted visual design mock-ups. Confidently present design concepts to various stakeholders and teams across the business. Collaborate with product development and other teams to set realistic expectations for project scope, delivery timeframes whilst maintaining quality standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and product strategists, technical leads and developers, where you'll make recommendations for the best possible outcome. Working with the carsales design system to consistently improve design patterns and create new ones where required, knowledge of native mobile design patterns across iOS and Android is a must have skill for this role. Qualifications What we are looking for? Expertise to define and lead in the development of new concepts and solutions to build new businesses. Demonstrate understanding and expertise in understanding user problems and uncover product pain points to design considered interfaces that meet business requirements and the needs of the end user. Collaborate across a diverse team, you will have a great opportunity to solve complex tasks and transform them into intuitive, accessible, and easy-to-use inspired design. experiencing mentoring and coaching more junior designers across the wider design team, as and when required or appropriate. Worked wihth cross-functional teams to help market the benefits of the solutions you are creating.
