The Role If leading a multi-disciplinary team and developing engineering solutions across a variety of industries (Mining, Oil & Gas, Power, Infrastructure) and asset types interests you, then this is the role for you. We're seeking an experienced Engineering Manager, to lead and grow our Engineering teams across multiple locations in QLD and NSW. This opportunity will allow you to build on a strong engineering capability and set the business up to capture future projects. Reporting to the Regional Manager, this role will be based in our Newcastle or Riverview QLD office and will require visits to client sites from time to time. Key Responsibilities: Oversee our Structural Integrity, Materials, Mechanical and Reliability engineering teams. Provide managerial support to Team Leaders and Project Engineers Technical oversight in accordance with Professional Engineers Act. Develop job opportunities and client relationships. Review of proposals and technical reports for engineering consulting works. Mentor and ensure continuous career development of the team, including driving the graduate development program Deliver a wholistic service to our clients in collaboration with other SRG services eg. NDT, Condition Monitoring, laboratory services and Mechanical Testing Profit & Loss financial responsibility for the Business Units Execute current and develop future Engineering Group business strategy. Implement, monitor and ensure compliance to SRG's and the Client's safety, human resources, quality, environmental and production requirements[CP1] . The successful applicant will ideally have[CP2] : Previous experience in a similar role Engineering Degree (CPENG/RPEQ) or ability to achieve CPEng. Demonstrated Management / Leadership capability. Training in these fields is desirable. Managerial/supervisory experience in a field related to engineering, testing, inspection or asset care services. Demonstrated excellence in a customer-facing role, ideally within a technical service or consulting sector. Strong financial and commercial understanding, with knowledge of the key financial metrics that affect service-oriented businesses.
