We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled design coordinator to join our growing construction team. As a design coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing all design activities on multiple construction projects. You will work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure that all design work is completed in accordance with project specifications, contracts, and applicable regulations. Responsibilities: Manage and coordinate all design activities on multiple construction projects Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery Review project specifications and contracts to identify design requirements and constraints Manage the design process, including design development, design review, and design approval Develop and maintain project design schedules and budgets Provide guidance and mentorship to junior design coordinators Ensure compliance with project specifications, contracts, and applicable regulations Monitor project progress and update project managers on key milestones and potential issues Identify and resolve design-related issues and escalate issues to project managers as needed Provide regular updates to senior management on project design status, including potential risks and opportunities Ensure that project design records and documents are accurate and up-to-date Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, or a related field 5 years of experience in design coordination or management in the construction industry Experience working on largescale construction project from $70m upwards Excellent organizational and time management skills Strong leadership and communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Knowledge of construction project management tools and software Understanding of construction contracts and regulatory requirements Familiarity with building codes and standards Benefits and perks: Access to our EAP (Employee Assistance Program) Market competitive Salary and excellent working environment Excellent Leave Polices that include purchased Annual Leave, Work Life Balance Days, Community Days and generous Parental Leave scheme Collaborative and values-based workplace culture Sporting and Social events Professional Memberships Discounts on Travel, Retail and Health How to apply Applications should be made by submitting a CV and cover letter online outlining your interest, motivation and what you would bring to this role by way of background.
