About the role We are looking for an Associate Surface Water Engineer to help us deliver flooding elements of a strong pipeline of work on high profile and challenging projects that span natural resource management to major infrastructure design. The responsibilities of the role include: · Manage projects, ensuring on-time, cost-effective delivery and client satisfaction. · Communicate technical information effectively to diverse audiences. · Win work, including cost estimation, proposal writing, and client relationship management. · Provide technical leadership and mentorship to project and discipline team members. · Support innovation within your technical field. Here's What You'll Need: · Approximately 10 years' experience in the water resources industry · Strong technical knowledge and proven experience in flooding water resources assessments including infrastructure design. · Relevant Engineering degree (or equivalent) and relevant industry Chartership/Accreditation, ideally RPEQ. · Competency in industry standard flood modelling and GIS packages including TUFLOW, RORB, URBS, Infoworks ICM, MIKE products and QGIS. · In-depth knowledge of Australian guidelines, including working experience with ARR2019 · Sound market knowledge, the ability to build strong client relationships, and the acumen to identify, bid, win, and deliver water sector projects. · Ability and willingness to guide and mentor team members. · Successful candidates will have an inclusive mindset and enjoy collaborating across geographies as part of diverse teams. · Be open-minded and willing to adapt with change and transformation. · Demonstrate a passion for waterways.
